A charter bus carrying a youth football team crashed just outside Little Rock, Arkansas on Monday, leaving one child dead and over 40 more injured, according to reports.
Brandon Richard of WMC Action News 5 reports that a charter bus carrying Orange Mound youth football players crashed just west of Little Rock on Monday. Arkansas State Police confirmed that one child died and at least 40 other individuals, mostly children, were injured.

The Arkansas State Police issued a statement on the accident:
One child is dead and at least 40 other individuals, most of them children, are reported to be injured, as the result of a bus crash west of Benton early this morning. The injured have been transported to area hospitals in Little Rock and Benton.
Troopers say a charter bus traveling from Texas to Memphis, Tennessee left the roadway and overturned. The bus driver is alive and is being questioned by state troopers.
The bus was carrying a youth football team that had played in a championship game in Dallas during the weekend.
Police said more information will be revealed in an updated news release later in the day.
