A Kentucky assistant football coach is in hot water after a recent arrest.
ESPN reports that Kentucky wide receivers coach Jovon Bouknight was arrested and charged with driving under the influence over the weekend. He was also charged with possession of an open alcoholic beverage in a vehicle and driving 26 miles per hour or more over the speed limit. The incident occurred on Saturday.
Per ESPN, “Kentucky is aware of the situation with Bouknight and is handling the situation internally.”
Bouknight is scheduled to appear in court on Friday.
Bouknight just completed his first full season with the Wildcats, as he was hired in spring 2020 to join the program. He has had previous stops at Oregon, Texas Tech and Utah State.
