Two former Kentucky basketball players have reportedly been involved in a fatal car accident, according to multiple reports. WKYT in Lexington confirmed the news late Thursday night.

Terrence Clarke has died as a result of the injuries sustained in the accident, according to the report from WKYT. BJ Boston was also involved in the accident and was in the car behind Clarke when the crash occurred.

Per the report, Clarke and Boston were leaving a workout. Clarke died on the way to the hospital. He was just 19.

Additional details are unknown at this time.

Clarke, a 6-foot-7 guard, was limited to just eight games this season due to a leg injury — seven in non-conference play and one in the SEC Tournament — making six starts and averaging 9.6 points, 2.6 rebounds and 2.0 assists per game. He declared for the NBA Draft in March. Clarke missed 17 games last season with a foot injury, and returned against Mississippi State in the SEC Tournament where he had two points and three assists in 10 minutes.

Boston averaged 11.5 points but shot just 35.5 percent overall and 30 percent from 3-point range.

Both Clarke and Boston declared for the 2021 NBA Draft following the 2020-21 college basketball season. The both signed with Klutch Sports.
