Report: UCF head coach Gus Malzahn involved car accident
UCF head coach Gus Malzahn has reportedly been involved in a car accident. Brian Stultz of Rivals.com reported the news on Tuesday.
Malzahn was reportedly involved in the accident on Monday night in Auburn. A man was airlifted via helicopter to hospital, but that individual was not Malzahn, per the report.
It’s unclear if Malzahn was a driver or passenger. The severity of his injuries, or if any were sustained, is information that is also unavailable at this time.

Malzahn just concluded his first season as the head coach of the Knights. The team posted a 9-4 record and defeated Florida in the Gasparilla Bowl to conclude the year.
Prior to taking over at UCF, Malzahn spent 8 seasons at Auburn (2013-20), posting a 68-35 record with one national championship appearance, two SEC West titles and an SEC championship.
