The Wichita State transfer Morris Udeze hit the portal on Wednesday evening. He has already gotten from a lot of teams, including 2 from the B1G.

Udeze attended Montverde Academy in Montverde, Florida for high school. He was a 3-star center recruit from the 2018 class per the 247Sports Composite. Udeze originally committed to Wichita State in September of 2018, and switched his position to forward. Udeze averaged 10.2 points and 6.1 rebounds for the Shockers this past season.

Jon Rothstein of CBS Sports reported that Udeze is gaining interest from many teams including Maryland and Northwestern from the B1G.

Rothstein posted about the news from his Twitter account on Thursday morning.

Maryland currently has 0 commits from the class of 2022, but could use Udeze since the Terps recently lost big man Qudus Wahab to the transfer portal. Northwestern has 1 commit in its 2022 class with 3-star PF recruit Luke Hunger committed to the Wildcats.
