On what will be a night in which his dreams become reality, Zion Williamson has been faced with a lawsuit for over $100 million.
According to a report from Pete Thamel of Yahoo Sports, Williamson is being sued by Prime Sports Marketing LLC and company president Gina Ford for $100 million because of claims of a broken contract. The company accuses Williamsons’ new agency, Creative Artists Agency, of interfering with a previous deal reached between the parties.
The news comes just hours before the NBA Draft in which Williamson is expected to be the No. 1 overall pick.
Williamson signed with Prime Sports initially after deciding to leave Duke after his freshman season. He later filed a lawsuit to terminate the five-year deal last week. He signed the deal with Prime Sports on April 20 and notified the company he would terminate the contract on May 31.
On May 30, Williamson signed with CAA Sports.
