Rick Stockstill is still feel the high of shocking No. 25 Miami 45-31. The MTSU head coach made a joke after his team’s win.

On Wednesday, Stockhill spoke to 247Sports’ Matt Howe on Middle Tennessee State’s win over Miami:

“They ran for 194 yards against Texas A&M, the number whatever (ranked) team in the country,” Stockstill said. “They ran for 68 against us, they averaged 1.6 yards per carry, they gave us $1.5 million but they got 1.6 yards per carry. I don’t know where that came from.”

Middle Tennessee State outgained Miami in total yards accounted for 507-to-367. The Blue Raiders also forced 3 turnovers from Miami.

MTSU defeated a ranked Miami team one week after the Hurricanes lost to No. 24 Texas A&M 17-9 in College Station. Miami is in its first season with Mario Cristobal, and is 2-2 through four games.

Middle Tennessee State (3-1) is set to open C-USA play on Friday night versus UTSA (2-2).
