The Rose Bowl announced the Hall of Fame inductees for the 2024 class that includes Heisman Trophy winner Reggie Bush, former Michigan State head coach Mark Dantonio and All-American LaMichael James in a press release on Wednesday.

The inductees will be honored in the 136th Rose Parade before an on-field recognition during the College Football Playoff Quarterfinals on New Year’s Day 2025. The inductees will also be recognized in a private ceremony held by the Pasadena Tournament of Roses on Dec. 31.

Bush was a star at USC during the early 2000s, helping the Trojans win a national title during his time in the program while capturing the 2005 Heisman Trophy. He also appeared in 2 Rose Bowls with 83 yards in a 28-14 win over Michigan in 2004 before appearing again in the 2006 Rose Bowl.

Bush’s story in college athletics has taken many twists and turns with his 2005 Heisman Trophy originally returned following an NCAA investigation into improper benefits during his time with the Trojans. This offseason saw that Heisman returned following massive changes to the structure of college sports, and Bush recently discussed his desire to lead USC out of the tunnel for a home game in the future.

Dantonio ended his career as Michigan State’s winningest coach in program history, and he led the Spartans to a thrilling Rose Bowl win over Stanford after the 2013 season. That Spartan squad finished 13-1 overall, still the best single-season win total in MSU history.

James is one of the all-time great running backs to come out of Oregon and still ranks 2nd on the program’s all-time list for rushing yards (5,082) and rushing touchdowns (53). He appeared in 2 Rose Bowls, including rushing for 159 yards and a touchdown in a win over Wisconsin following the 2011 season.

The Rose Bowl Hall of Fame was established in 1989 to pay tribute to individuals who have contributed to the history and excitement of the Rose Bowl Game, and those who embody the highest level of passion, strength, tradition, and honor associated with The Granddaddy of Them All.
