The final score was enough of a message on Wednesday night, but Oklahoma fans at AT&T Stadium watching the Sooners thump Florida in the Cotton Bowl couldn’t let the opportunity pass them by. Not this time.

Midway through the 4th quarter of Oklahoma’s 55-20 victory over Florida in Wednesday’s Cotton Bowl, Sooners fans in attendance took it upon themselves to troll the Gators, and the SEC. With the game already in hand, an “S-E-C! S-E-C!” chant broke out loud enough to be captured during ESPN’s broadcast.

As you can imagine, it was a pretty popular video circulating on social media. Here’s the clip:

For over a decade now, SEC fanbases have chanted the initials of the conference during big wins. It hasn’t mattered whether it’s the national championship, or the Citrus Bowl, a big win for the league usually results in an “S-E-C!” chant of some kind.

This time, though, it was Oklahoma mocking Florida and the conference. And for good reason. The Sooners dominated the game from start to finish to close out the year with a 9-2 record, while the Gators ended with an 8-4 mark.

Florida’s loss to Oklahoma also means the SEC is currently 0-1 this bowl season with 7 games still remaining. And if there are any other results like the one we saw on Wednesday night, you can bet other fanbases will be happily trolling the league again.
