There is still no certainty as to whether or not conferences will host in-person media days before the 2021 college football season, but the SEC is currently planning for a live event.

On Tuesday, the SEC announced that it will be hosting its 2021 football media days from July 19 through July 22. The location is set for Hoover, Alabama, which has been the traditional location of the event in years past.

Nashville was scheduled to be the site of the 2021 SEC Media Days, but it appears there’s been a change to that plan.

Last year’s media days for all college football conferences were canceled because of the COVID-19 pandemic. Most schools hosted individual media days through virtual meetings. Reporters were still able to speak with players and coaches, though it was a difference format than what we’ve become accustomed to seeing.

Hopefully, live media days will return later this year. The SEC is prepared for that to happen several months in advance.
