Senior Bowl Executive Director Jim Nagy released his own Heisman Trophy ballot with 3 B1G players.

The list included a total of 6 players from the B1G and SEC. Nagy did not pick more than 1 player from a school and he only had players from those 2 conferences on his list.

Here are the 3 B1G players on Nagy’s list:

  • Ohio State QB CJ Stroud
  • Illinois RB Chase Brown
  • Michigan RB Blake Corum

All 3 players were offensive players and 5 of the 6 players on the list were offensive players. Alabama linebacker Will Anderson was the only defensive player on the list.

CJ Stroud was a Heisman finalist in 2021 and he is making a case for another case in 2022. He has passed for 1,376 yards, 18 touchdowns, and 2 interceptions. He had a slower performance compared to the rest of the season in last week’s win over Rutgers, but it was still a nice outing for Stroud.

Brown is off to a roaring start for the Fighting Illini with 733 yards and 4 rushing touchdowns on 120 attempts. This has been a great start to the season for Illinois and Brown. Similar to Brown, Corum has been a factor in Michigan’s running game. In 5 games, Corum rushed for 611 yards and 10 touchdowns.

Nagy was impressed with what he saw from these 3 B1G players through Week 5.
