The B1G is home to some of the best coaches in college football. A recent Top 25 list from Sporting News shows just how talented the coaching pool is in the Midwest.

Bill Bender recently released his Top 25 coaches in college football. Half of the B1G was represented on the list, with seven head coaches from the conference listed in the rankings. Only one, however, cracked the Top 10.

Ohio State’s Ryan Day led the way in the No. 6 spot after completing his second season with the Buckeyes. After back-to-back B1G titles and two straight appearances in the College Football Playoff, it’s hard not to put Day in that Top 10.

The other head coaches to make the list? James Franklin (Penn State), Pat Fitzgerald (Northwestern), Jim Harbaugh (Michigan), Paul Chryst (Wisconsin), Kirk Ferentz (Iowa) and Tom Allen (Indiana). Here’s where they all ranked:

No. 6: Ryan Day, Ohio State

No. 11: James Franklin, Penn State

No. 12: Pat Fitzgerald, Northwestern

No. 15: Jim Harbaugh, Michigan

No. 17: Paul Chryst, Wisconsin

No. 20: Kirk Ferentz, Iowa

No. 21: Tom Allen, Indiana

You can see Bender’s complete Top 25 list and his explanation behind each ranking on SportingNews.com.
