The top hoops prospect out of Washington D.C. and one of the top wings nationally is still considering two B1G programs.

The player is Christian Watson, a 6-foot-6 small forward for the class of 2022. 247 Sports rates Watson as a four-star recruit but he comes in as a three-star recruit on the Composite Rankings.

Watson recently trimmed his list of potential destinations to a top eight, and he kept Rutgers and Penn State in the running. The rest of the list is made up of Marquette, Providence, Xavier, Georgetown, Miami, and VCU.

According to the Composite Rankings, Watson is the No. 35 small forward nationally. He is also a top-150 recruit in the country, coming in at 140 overall for the class of 2022.
As things currently stand, Watson would be a big addition to either Penn State or Rutgers. The Scarlet Knights have yet to add a commitment to their 2022 class after posting the 96th overall recruiting class nationally in 2021.

Penn State currently has one commitment for the class of 2022 in Virginia point guard Kanye Clary. Clary is unrated by the Composite Rankings.
