Six college football teams are now bowl eligible
Six weeks, six wins. Yes, we’re only halfway through the 2018 season, but six teams have already clinched bowl eligibility after wins on Saturday.
Ohio State is the lone B1G team to secure a postseason bid this weekend, as the Buckeyes are now 6-0 on the season. Michigan is the only team on the verge of clinching, sitting with a 5-1 record after Week 6. Four teams in the conference have four wins.
Here’s the list of teams that will be headed to the postseason this year. Five of them are in the thick of the College Football Playoff race.
- Alabama
- Ohio State
- Clemson
- Notre Dame
- Georgia
- Cincinnati
Hawai’i also has six wins, but needs seven win as it plays a 13-game schedule.
There are plenty of teams that are on the cusp of hitting the all-important six-win mark. Over the next three weeks, several college football squads will join the mix.
But for now, the Buckeyes are alone in the B1G. We’ll see if Michigan can join its rival next Saturday.
