So close: BYU comes up 1 yard short of miracle finish vs. Coastal Carolina
The BYU-Coastal Carolina lived up to its billing and then some, especially as there was an absolutely thrilling finish to it.
BYU was trailing by five with just one play left to run and they came just one yard short of winning the game against the Chanticleers. Here’s a replay of that play and how close BYU was to winning, courtesy of FOX College Football:

It would’ve been arguably the play of the year but it wasn’t to be as Coastal Carolina got to 10-0 on the season while BYU dropped to 9-1.
Coastal Carolina will surely move up in the polls this coming week and they have a legit chance to finish their season 12-0 as well. They play unranked Troy next Saturday at 3 p.m. ET before playing No. 25 Louisiana-Lafayette on Dec. 19.
For BYU, they’ll look to bounce back next Saturday against San Diego State.
