Social media was going crazy for McKenzie Milton's return to game action for first time since 2018 injury
Trailing by 18 points with 4:37 to play in the third quarter, Florida State rallied back to take No. 9 Notre Dame to overtime Sunday night in Tallahassee before falling 41-38.
Redshirt junior Jordan Travis started the game for the Seminoles and played the first three-plus quarters but was forced to leave the field for a play after his helmet came off with 9:09 remaining in regulation, an NCAA rule.

Milton, who was seeing his first game action since suffering a devastating right knee injury on November 23, 2018, as a member of UCF, guided Florida State to the team’s final 10 points of the game. He finished 5-of-7 for 48 yards while adding 6 yards on 3 rushing attempts.
As Joe Tessitore said on the ESPN broadcast, Milton’s return was nothing short of a medical miracle, and fans and media alike were appreciative of the special moment they were witnessing.

Speaking to the media following the narrow loss, second-year head coach Mike Norvell did not commit to a starting quarterback moving forward. However, based on his production and standing among fans across the sport, Milton would seem like the popular choice to start Saturday against FCS Jacksonville State at 8 p.m. ET on the ACC Network.
