Someone forgot to tell Twitter the B1G wasn't playing football on Thursday
Twitter just made life a little more miserable for B1G fans on Thursday.
Thursday night was supposed to mark the start of the 2020 B1G football season. Twice. First, Minnesota was scheduled to open the season against Florida Atlantic in the original schedule for the upcoming campaign. Then, when the conference created its B1G-only, 10-game schedule, Ohio State was slated to take on Illinois.
Unfortunately, Twitter reminded us that neither of those games will be played tonight. Instead, college football fans will have the opportunity to watch Central Arkansas vs. UAB (8 p.m. ET, ESPN3) and South Alabama vs. Southern Miss (9 p.m. ET, CBS Sports Network).

The B1G was the first Power 5 conference to postpone fall sports and the college football season until spring. The Pac-12 followed shortly after.
Thursday will mark the second and third games of the college football season in 2020. Last Saturday, Central Arkansas and Austin Peay opened the college football campaign, with the two FCS schools competing in a thrilling contest. The Bears defeated the Governors 24-17.
Six more games are scheduled for Saturday, featuring both FCS and FBS games. On Monday, BYU and Navy are scheduled to go head to head.
