The Sporting News is pretty high on the potential in the B1G for 2019.

This week, Sporting News released its early bowl predictions for the upcoming season. The publication has 10 B1G teams reaching the postseason this year, which would be a one-team improvement from last season.

Not only will 10 teams go bowling this postseason, Sporting News also has the B1G returning to the College Football Playoff after a two-year absence. Here’s a look at where each team is headed this postseason according to Sporting News:

  • Peach Bowl (CFP semifinal) — Ohio State vs. Alabama
  • Rose Bowl — Michigan vs. Oregon
  • Citrus Bowl — Wisconsin vs. LSU
  • Outback Bowl — Penn State vs. Auburn
  • TaxSlayer Bowl — Nebraska vs. Tennessee
  • Holiday Bowl — Iowa vs. Washington
  • Redbox Bowl — Minnesota vs. Stanford
  • Pinstripe Bowl — Michigan State vs. Virginia Tech
  • Quick Lane Bowl — Purdue vs. NC State
  • First Responders Bowl — Northwestern vs. Texas Tech

These predictions change pretty frequently and will likely see plenty of alterations on a week-to-week basis when the season kicks off. Still, it’s a pretty solid outlook for the conference.
