Sporting News names 2017 All-Americans

Six B1G players have been tabbed as All-Americans by Sporting News following the 2017 season.

Both Ohio State and Iowa had two players named First-team selections while Michigan and Penn State each had one representative. In addition to the six First-team picks, the B1G also had five Second-team selections.

Here are the B1G players who earned First-team honors from Sporting News:

  • Billy Price, Ohio State C
  • Maurice Hurst, Michigan, DL
  • Josey Jewell, Iowa LB
  • Josh Jackson, Iowa CB
  • Denzel Ward, Ohio State CB
  • Saquon Barkley, Penn State ATH

And the players to earn Second-team All-American honors:

  • Jonathan Taylor, Wisconsin RB
  • Mike Gesicki, Penn State TE
  • Michael Dieter, Wisconsin OT
  • Nick Bosa, Ohio State DL
  • T.J. Edwards, Wisconsin LB
