With the college football season scheduled to begin in two moths, the preseason accolades are starting to pour in.

This week, Bill Bender of Sporting News revealed his preseason All-America selections for the 2020 college football season. Bender named the players who would make his first- and second-team selections heading into the year.

Eight players from the B1G were mentioned, with four being named first-team selections and four more being tabbed as second-teamers. Five players came from the offensive side of the football while the remaining three were defenders. The B1G did not have any specialists make the cut.

Below are the eight B1G selections:

First-Team

  • OL: Wyatt Davis, Ohio State
  • TE: Pat Freiermuth, Penn State
  • LB: Micah Parsons, Penn State
  • DB: Shaun Wade, Ohio State

Second-Team

  • QB: Justin Fields, Ohio State
  • WR: Rondale Moore, Purdue
  • WR: Rashod Bateman, Minnesota
  • LB: Paddy Fisher, Northwestern

Broken down by school, there are three players from Ohio State and two from Penn State. Purdue, Minnesota and Northwestern each had one player selected.
