It’s another preseason poll that favor the Buckeyes. A lot.

247Sports released its top 247 players in college football on Wednesday morning. Ohio State defensive end Joey Bosa was ranked No. 1 while linebacker Darron Lee came in at No. 6 and running back Ezekiel Elliot was ranked No. 11.

According to the page, this was the judging criteria:

1. We were looking for the best player.

2. Yes, production matters. But production was probably secondary to …

3. Ability. Ability is nebulous term that is defined in different ways by different people. But if you see a running back who had 800 yards last year ahead of one who had 1,200, chances are, we just thought Player A had more ability.

4. Position matters. All things being equal, take the left tackle over the guard.

The Buckeyes also had J.T. Barrett ranked 25th while Cardale Jones came in at No. 50. A total of 12 Buckeyes were listed in the top 100 while 13 cracked the top 247.

In all, the Big Ten had 41 players represented. Michigan State, Penn State and Wisconsin each had five players rank in the top 247. Illinois, Northwestern and Purdue were the only Big Ten teams without a player on the list.
