Stats shared by ESPN’s ‘Bear’ Fallica paint bleak picture for underdogs in Power 5 CCGs

Recent history in the conference championship games does not paint a pretty picture for underdogs across the country.
As we continue progressing toward Championship Weekend, Ohio State is currently a 16-point favorite over Wisconsin. The two teams have already met once this season, a 38-7 victory by the Buckeyes.
Around the country Clemson (-28.5 vs Virginia), LSU (-7 vs Georgia), Utah (-6.5 vs Oregon), and Oklahoma (-8.5 vs Baylor) are the other favorites in the Power 5 conference championship games.
On Monday, ESPN’s Chris “Bear” Fallica tweeted out the results of recent Power 5 championships, and needless to say, the favorites have dominated over the past four years. According to Fallica, favorites have just one loss in the last 18 conference championship games.
The work of favorites against the spread is nearly as impressive:
Favorites have dominated the P5 Championship Games lately. 10-0 SU, 8-2 ATS last 2 years. 17-1 SU, 13-5 ATS since 2015, only upset was Penn State +2 over Wisconsin in 2016.

Will Wisconsin flip the script in Indianapolis? Or will Ohio State continue a string of dominance by the favorites?
Saturday’s kickoff is set for 8 pm EST on FOX.
