Football can be a scary sport sometimes. For everyone watching Sunday’s matchup between the Pittsburgh Steelers and Baltimore Ravens, they got a first-hand look at that.

During the game, Steelers quarterback Mason Rudolph scrambled on a broken play in an attempt to make something happen. Almost immediately after getting rid of the ball, Rudolph suffered a frightening hit from Early Thomas III.

The hit appears to knock Rudolph out cold and he falls to the ground. After the play, Rudolph was lying on the field motionless before eventually being helped off.

Rudolph’s facemask was removed and he was supposed to be carted off the field. But the team medical cart wasn’t functioning properly, so the quarterback was assisted off the field.
