According to reports out of Austin, Texas head coach Steve Sarkisian has named his starting quarterback for the 2022 season and it’s Quinn Ewers.

Ewers, who is transferred out of Ohio State, will start over presumptive starting QB Hudson Card. After Sarkisian dropped this huge bomb, he took no questions from the media.

Tight end Ja’Tavion Sanders says whoever is starting doesn’t matter although most didn’t expect the announcement to be made so soon.

“I definitely don’t think it matters,” Sanders said Friday before the announcement was made public. “I feel like whoever gets a starting job is definitely going to be a leader for our team and take us to the long run, for sure.”

In the 5 starts he made last season, Card threw for 590 yards and 5 touchdowns, but clearly, his experience wasn’t enough for him to start this season for the Longhorns.
