Tennessee fans tailgate with giant inflatable block M before battle vs. Ohio State
The enemy of Tennessee’s enemy is Tennessee’s friend.
Vols fans have had an impressive weekend, even before kickoff between the No. 9 Volunteers and No. 8 Buckeyes at The Shoe in Columbus, Ohio. Tennessee is expected to have a significant fan presence during tonight’s first-round CFP matchup.
Vols fans also have jokes. A picture was taken of a Vols tailgate Saturday that showed Tennessee fans rocking with a giant inflatable Michigan Wolverines block M. The Wolverines spoiled Ohio State‘s bid at a first-round bye with a 13-10 win at the end of the regular season – a devastating loss for the Buckeyes, which have now dropped 4 straight to the Wolverines.

What hurts more for Ohio State is how average Michigan has been this year. The Wolverines finished the regular season 7-5, a disappointing effort after Michigan’s national title victory last season. To not beat this Wolverines team now… well, let’s just say some Ohio State fans aren’t taking it too well.
As for the game on the field, we’re in for a fun one. The Vols have a devastating defense that can control Will Howard and the Buckeyes offense. However, Tennessee has been flat out bad on the road this season, and they’ll need to find something on offense in the first quarter to have a shot against a similarly stout Ohio State defense.
Tennessee at Ohio State is set to kick off at 8 p.m. ET on ABC.
