Tez Johnson and the Oregon Ducks faced off against the Ohio State Buckeyes in the Rose Bowl. The game did not go how the Ducks imagined, with the team falling 41-21.

Even after the disappointment of the season being ended, Johnson pulled a classy move after the game. The star wide receiver was seen waiting on the field for Will Howard to get done with his postgame interview. As soon as Howard was done, Johnson walked over and congratulated the Ohio State QB.

Johnson can be heard telling Howard he respects him and that the Buckeyes need him. It was a classy gesture from the WR on a night that didn’t go his way.

The WR ended the night with 5 catches for 32 yards. That shouldn’t take away from Johnson’s incredible season, however. The senior led Oregon in catches, receiving yards, and touchdowns, finishing with 83 catches for 898 yards and 10 TDs. Johnson will now look forward to hearing his name called during the 2025 NFL Draft.

Howard, meanwhile, had an almost perfect game. The QB completed 17 of 26 passes for 319 yards and 3 TDs. In total, the Buckeyes racked up 500 yards of offense and held the Ducks to just 276 total yards. The Buckeyes have scored 83 points in their 2 Playoff games.

Now, the Buckeyes will prepare to take on Texas in the Cotton Bowl. The Cotton Bowl matchup will kick off on Jan. 10 at 7:30 p.m. ET.
