The Alliance between the ACC, B1G, and Pac-12 is a hot-button topic in the world of college football. There’s a specific aspect that’s coming under fire recently.
Alston case attorneys are warning the conferences in the Alliance about the illegality of collaborating on student-athlete compensation matters.

In a letter obtained by @ActionNetworkHQ, Alston case attorneys notified ACC, Big Ten & Pac-12, warning the Alliance it would be illegal to “collaborate” on “future of athlete compensation.” If so Alston attorneys “will not hesitate to seek sanctions or other relief” pic.twitter.com/69eouV8sgx

There’s plenty of details to still be worked out with the Alliance and this is just one major example. The formation of the Alliance is coming in response to Big 12 teams Oklahoma and Texas getting set to eventually join the SEC.
The B1G season kicks off on Aug. 28 with a matchup between visiting Nebraska and host Illinois (1 p.m. EST/FOX).
