The B1G dominates CFB's 900-win club
After a rough five weeks, Penn State has won consecutive games to give Happy Valley something to be happy about, and their latest victory helped to lift the program into some elite company.
The Nittany Lions 23-7 win over Rutgers on the road Saturday was the Penn State program’s 900th win, putting them, along with a trio of other B1G teams in an elite group of eight schools to reach the plateau.
While not adding quite as many this season as usual, Michigan leads all schools with 964 wins. Next in line, Ohio State, has 927 wins. Nebraska has 904 wins in 7th place overall, with Penn State now 8th with an even 900 wins.
Michigan or Ohio State will add another win to their totals as the two teams square off against each other on Saturday, Dec. 12. Penn State will be looking to win their third-straight when they host Michigan State in College State on Saturday, and Nebraska plays host to Minnesota.
