There is a big cross-divisional matchup in the B1G when Michigan State hosts Minnesota in East Lansing. The Spartans are looking to bounce back after a tough 39-28 loss to Washington while Minnesota looks to move to 4-0.

Former quarterback Greg McElroy was joined by Chris “The Bear” Fallica to breakdown the game.

The Gophers have played well against very subpar competition. Minnesota holds a combined 149-17 scoring advantage against its three opponents that have won a combined zero games.  Its fair to say its hard to get a read on any of those games.

The Gophers did get some tough news when it was announced Chris Autman-Bell will miss the remainder of the season. Autman-Bell suffered a lower-injury against Colorado.

For Michigan State, they still might be looking for a pass defense. The Spartans gave up 397 yards through the air against the Huskies. Washington quarterback Michael Penix went 24/40 for 397 yards and four touchdowns in the victory. The Spartans had the worst pass defense in the country last season.
