Super Bowl weekend has finally arrived.

The most-watched sporting event that marks the end of the football season will commence on Sunday, as the New England Patriots and Los Angeles Rams go head to head in Super Bowl LIII. While two fanbases will be honed in on all the action, the rest of us will be concerned with more important things: parties and snacks.

For a lot of people, the Super Bowl is a bit holiday-like. There are plenty of gatherings among friends and family, plenty of food is available and a full day is devoted to this one event. With food being such a huge part of the day, why not look at which snacks, desserts, sides and main dishes are the most popular in each state?

And, since we’re a site devoted to the B1G, we’ll focus on states in the Midwest.
