The Ohio State-Purdue game produced offense numbers that looked like it was from a Madden video game. Both teams put up incredible numbers, especially at quarterback.

Buckeyes quarterback C.J. Stroud was 31-38 for 361 yards and 5 touchdowns. He also had an 82% completion rate. Stroud’s numbers may have put him back into the Heisman race.

Not to be outdone, was quarterback Aidan O’Connell. O’Connell was 40-52 for 390 yards and 4 touchdown passes. He also had a 77% completion rate.

The Big Ten is not normally known for its high-powered offenses, it is normally known for its defense and the ground and pound game. Seeing these kind of numbers is insane, especially in a head-to-head matchup.

Ohio State was on the right side of the scoreboard, posting a 59-31 victory over the Boilermakers in Columbus.

Saturday’s game may be the beginning of changing the reputation of the conference as being just a defensive conference.
