Three B1G teams make Top 5 for 4-star dual-threat QB
Four-star dual-threat quarterback Donaven McCulley narrowed down his list of potential schools to five this week, and it’s a B1G-heavy crowd. Three of the teams still in the running come from the conference.
Saturday, McCulley revealed the top five schools he’s still considering, with Purdue, Indiana and Iowa in the mix. The other two programs still in consideration are Ole Miss and Missouri out of the SEC.

McCulley also announced with his top five that his recruitment is still open.

According to 247Sports, McCulley is ranked as the No. 305 overall player in the 2021 recruiting class. The Indianapolis native is also the 12th-ranked dual-threat quarterback and is the No. 3 player out of Indiana. Per his evaluation, McCulley is an outstanding athlete with excellent arm strength and has a good ability to throw the football on the move.
During the recruiting cycle, McCulley has received offers from a dozen program. In addition to the schools in his top five, McCulley also had interest from Cincinnati, Kentucky, Michigan State, Wake Forest, Central Michigan, Western Michigan and Bowling Green.
