Tom Brady and Joe Burrow appeared together on the Let’s Go with Jim Gray on Mad Dog Sports Radio podcast. Brady couldn’t resist taking at his alma mater’s rival.

“Joe’s obviously a great player. I think one of the (greatest) decisions he ever made was leaving Ohio State,” Brady said, per 247Sports. “You got out of that godforsaken place and (went to) LSU. As a Michigan man, I could tell how smart he was when he did that. One of the best you ever made, Joe.”

Burrow agreed that his transfer to LSU was a wise decision, but pointed out he wasn’t the co-signing the former Michigan quarterback’s jab at Ohio State.

“I think it was too, but maybe for different reasons than you might have,” Burrow responded, laughing.

Burrow arrived at Ohio State in 2015. He redshirted. Over the next 2 seasons, he played in 10 games, completing 29-of-39 passes for 287 yards and 2 touchdowns. With Dwayne Haskins set to start the 2018 season, Burrow transferred to LSU after graduating from OSU.

Burrow led LSU to a 10-3 record and Fiesta Bowl in 2018. In 2019, Burrow won the Heisman Trophy, guiding the Tigers to a 15-0 season and College Football Playoff National Championship win over Clemson.
