Defensive linemen in the B1G are no joke. Throughout the 2019 season, it seemed like the conference owned the best defensive line groups anywhere in college football.

While that may not be able to be definitively answered anytime soon, several former B1G stars showed off their strength at the NFL Scouting Combine on Friday. Defensive linemen hit the bench press, and three former players in the conference shined.

The top three performances on the bench press among defensive linemen all came from the B1G. Ohio State’s DaVon Hamilton led the way, followed by Nebraska’s Khalil Davis and Michigan State’s Kenny Willekes. Below are the totals:

  • DaVon Hamilton, Ohio State — 33 reps
  • Khalil Davis, Nebraska — 32 reps
  • Kenny Willekes, Michigan State — 32 reps

A pretty strong effort from B1G defensive linemen.

We’ll see if those guys continue to have solid outings during the rest of their time in Indianapolis.
