It’s a good thing the weekend showdown between No. 3 Michigan and No. 4 Ohio State lived up to the hype, because all eyes were on the Top 5 matchup on Sunday.

CBS Sports recently announced that Sunday’s game was the most-watched college basketball game of the 2020-21 season on any network. The game between the Wolverines and Buckeyes in Columbus saw an average of 2.63 million viewers.

Sunday’s game was the most-watched game in two years for CBS, with the a March 2, 2019 contest between Kentucky and Tennessee being next in line.

Michigan got the win over Ohio State 92-87.

Entering the game, Michigan had just one loss on the season and was 2-0 after a three-week pause due to COVID-19. Ohio State was in the middle of a seven-game winning streak heading into the rivalry bout.

Michigan is now 11-1 in B1G play and 16-1 overall while Ohio State is 12-5 in the conference and sits 18-5 on the season.
