A transfer forward from Ohio has narrowed down his list of potential options to six schools, three of which are from the B1G.

Ben Vander Plas is reportedly considering Illinois, Iowa State, Ohio State, Virginia, Virginia Tech and Wisconsin, according to Jeff Goodman of Stadium. He has one year of eligibility remaining after spending the past five seasons at Ohio.

Last season, Vander Plas averaged 14.2 points, 6.8 rebounds and 3.1 assists per game for the Bobcats. After such an outstanding year in 2021-22, the 6-foot-8 forward was named a first-team All-MAC player.

Vander Plas appeared in 122 career games at Ohio, making 92 starts. He redshirted his first year (2017-18) after suffering an injury that kept him sidelined. He has started every game for the past three seasons with the Bobcats.

Over the course of his four-year career at Ohio, Vander Plas averaged 12.9 points, 6.2 rebounds and 2.7 assists per game. He also shoots better than 45% from the floor over his time with the Bobcats.
