A Top 25 offensive tackle in the 2023 recruiting class has narrowed his list of schools down to 10 options. A trio of B1G programs made the cut.
Ian Reed, a 4-star offensive tackle out of Austin, Texas, revealed his Top 10 schools over the weekend. Michigan, Ohio State and Wisconsin were all in the mix out of the B1G. The other 7 teams are Alabama, Clemson, Georgia, Oklahoma State, Tennessee, Texas and Texas A&M.
“Thank you to all of the coaches that have been recruiting me, each and every offer was a blessing to me and my family,” Reed wrote on Twitter. “I am announcing my 2nd phase of my recruitment moving forward.”
Reed is listed as a 6-foot-6, 290-pound offensive tackle in the 2023 class. He ranks as the No. 25 player at his position, per the 247Sports composite rankings. Overall, Reed is among the Top 350 in the cycle, coming in at No. 347.

After the 2021 season at Vandegrift, Reed was named the Texas District 25-6A Offensive Lineman of the Year. He is also a rugby player, per 247Sports.
Ohio State currently owns the second-best class in the B1G, behind Penn State. The Buckeyes rank sixth nationally while Michigan is slotted in at No. 18. Wisconsin currently has just 1 verbal pledge and is No. 67.
