Twitter reacts to the College Football Playoff rankings
It’s a great week to be a fan of the B1G.
Both Michigan and Ohio State were listed in the top four on Tuesday’s College Football Playoff rankings show, becoming the second conference to have two teams in that position in a given week. The other is – obviously – the SEC.
But the success of the B1G stretches further than that. Wisconsin earned the No. 7 and Penn State moved up to No. 8. That’s right, the conference owned half of the top eight positions on Tuesday night.
The only other conference team to be ranked – Nebraska – came in at No. 18.
As you can imagine, Twitter erupted with plenty of hot takes and instant analysis. Here’s a glimpse of what some of the folks were saying:

Wisconsin might have a tough time jumping ahead of Washington if both teams win out. Thought Badgers would be 6th this week.

B1G becomes only second league to have 2 teams in Top 4 @CFBPlayoff rankings. SEC has done it 7 times in 3 years

Wisconsin, Penn State and Oklahoma are 7-8-9. OSU has played them all. That is one heck of a strength of schedule

Amazing how little Michigan's loss to Iowa hurt the Wolverines. Didn't drop in CFP, didn't really affect their B1G chances and hurt OSU's.

Don't overlook the importance of Washington remaining above Wisconsin. If they both win their conferences, could be fighting for 4th spot.
