Two B1G basketball teams to participate in Phil Knight Invitational, Legacy events in 2022-23 season

The 2021-22 college basketball season still has a month left until March Madness arrives, but plans are already being made for the 2022-23 campaign.
Fields have already been set and announced for the 2022 Phil Knight Invitational and Phil Knight Legacy events, scheduled for November 2022. Each tournament will consist of 8 teams.
The events are named after Nike founder and CEO Phil Knight.
Out of the B1G, Michigan State and Purdue will be the participants for next year’s event. The Spartans will take part in the Invitational while the Boilermakers are slotted in the Legacy.
Next year’s event is scheduled for Nov. 24, 25 and 27. The event will be played in Portland at the Moda, Veterans Memorial Coliseum and University of Portland. Games will be aired on ESPN.
