Two B1G players have been named to the Associated Press’s first-team All-America squad. The team was announced on Tuesday.
Iowa’s Luka Garza and Illinois’ Ayo Dosunmu were the two players from the B1G to receive the honors. They joined Gonzaga’s Corey Kispert, Baylor’s Jared Butler and Oklahoma State’s Cade Cunningham as first-team All-American selections.
Garza was named the B1G Player of the Year while Dosunmu was awarded the B1G Tournament MVP.

Garza averaged 23.7 points and 8.8 rebounds on the season. He also averaged 1.8 assists and 1.7 blocks while leading the Hawkeyes to a 21-8 record on the season. Iowa is a No. 2 seed in the NCAA Tournament.
Dosunmu posted an average of 20.7 points, 6.3 rebounds, 5.3 assists and 1.1 steals per contest. He guided Illinois to a 23-6 overall record and a B1G Tournament title on Sunday. The Illini are a No. 1 seed in March Madness.
