Two of the fastest running backs at the 2022 NFL Combine are from the B1G.

Rutgers’ Isaih Pacheco and Michigan State’s Kenneth Walker were among the quickest running backs to participate in the 40-yard dash this year. Pacheco posted a 4.37 time, tied for the best at the position this year.

Walker wasn’t far behind, clocking in at 4.38. That was the second-fastest time recorded for running backs, tied with multiple other participants at the combine. Here’s the complete list of the top times:

Pacheco rushed for 647 yards and 5 touchdowns on 167 carries for the Scarlet Knights during the 2021 season. He enjoyed a solid 4-year run at Rutgers, eclipsing the 500-yard mark every year.

The former Rutgers ball carrier left the program with a total of 2,449 yards and 18 touchdowns on the ground.

Walker was named the B1G Running Back of the Year in 2021 after rushing for a B1G-best 1,636 yards and 18 touchdowns. He had a tremendous season in his lone year at Michigan State, helping lead the Spartans to an 11-2 record.

Speed isn’t everything, but it’s a great quality to have at the running back position. Both Pacheco and Walker are showing it off in Indianapolis.
