A pair of B1G teams are still fighting to land the commitment of a 4-star offensive tackle out of Indiana.

Kiyaunta Goodwin, a 6-foot-7, 300-pound offensive tackle, has narrowed down his list of schools to a Top 5. Included in that group are Ohio State and Michigan State from the B1G. Alabama, Clemson and Kentucky are the other three programs still in the mix.

Per 247Sports, Goodwin is ranked as one of the Top 50 overall prospects in the 2022 class, coming in at No. 47. He’s the top player from Indiana and is the No. 5 offensive tackle of the cycle.

Goodwin has received an incredible 63 offers on the recruiting trail. There were 11 B1G programs to extend offers to the offensive lineman, with the only three not extending being Minnesota, Northwestern and Wisconsin.

Ohio State already owns the nation’s top-ranked recruiting class at the moment. The Buckeyes have 11 commits in the 2022 cycle, with five players ranking inside the Top 50 currently. All of OSU’s pledges are 4- or 5-star prospects.

Michigan State currently has only four players giving a verbal commitment, but rank 30th nationally and seventh in the B1G. Adding Goodwin to the mix would be a huge boost for Mel Tucker’s program.
