Fans are always excited about the upcoming college football season. Whether it’s because there’s an optimistic outlook or dreading the long offseason, there’s a reason to start looking ahead.

Some teams have a little more to be excited about than others, though. And, according to 247Sports, there are two B1G programs that should be really hyped about the 2019 campaign.

247Sports released a list of the 10 teams with the most hype headed into next season. On that list were Nebraska and Ohio State, but for different reasons.

The Huskers will enter the second season of the Scott Frost era after a bit of a disappointing year in 2018. But considering how well the offense performed in the second half of the season, there’s plenty of reasons to be excited moving forward.

From 247Sports:

The only team with a  losing record inside our top 10 Most-Hyped Teams list for 2019, Nebraska was one of college football’s hottest programs exiting the 2018 season and seemed to gain its footing under first-year Scott Frost after a disappointing 0-6 start. The overtime loss at Northwestern, a game that seemingly slipped away late, was the turning point. Nebraska won four of its final six games, the setbacks coming by five points at Ohio State and three at Iowa. The Huskers, who return almost everyone of importance, are already garnering Top 20 love according to Way-Too-Early rankings and have a somewhat favorable slate by Big Ten standards (projected two games vs. Top 25 teams).

Ohio State, on the other hand, just received a commitment from former 5-star quarterback Justin Fields. Paired with so much returning talent, the Buckeyes will be a contender in the B1G and the College Football Playoff picture again.

Here’s what 247Sports said about the Buckeyes:

How often does a program watch a Heisman finalist and single-season Big Ten record-setter leave for the NFL and not miss a beat at the quarterback position? Ohio State hopes that is the case in 2019 pending Dwayne Haskins’ draft decision and Justin Fields’ arrival on campus. The five-star Georgia freshman made it official this week, leaving Athens for a fresh start in a Ryan Day-coached offense that fits his skill set like a glove. Speaking of Day, Ohio State may look very different without Urban Meyer on the sideline, but expectations aren’t going to change whatsoever.
