Two college football players hospitalized following shooting

Two Eastern Washington football players are reportedly in the hospital following a shooting that occurred in downtown Spokane.

The Spokesman is reporting that the shooting too place in Spokane’s bar district. An investigation is ongoing. The players injured in the shooting are Dehonta Hayes and Keith Moore.

According to 247Sports, the injuries are considered serious but not life-threatening. Both are expected to make full recoveries.

From The Spokesman:

Police had not made any arrests in connection to the shooting as of Saturday evening, according to (Cpl. Ronald) Van Tassel, but police will release information on any suspects later in the investigation. The shooting happened at about 1:22 a.m. Police did not release the circumstances around the shooting.

Hayes is a fifth-year senior and registered 93 tackles last season. Moore is a redshirt junior and has made 22 stops in 21 career appearances.
