Two former B1G hoops stars named to NBA G-League's All-Rookie Team
A pair of former B1G basketball stars have earned NBA G-League All-Rookie Team honors this year. The names were revealed on Monday afternoon.
Former Iowa star and 2021 National Player of the Year Luka Garza was named to the NBA G-League All-Rookie Team as a member of the Motor City Cruise. Former Ohio State and Wisconsin standout Micah Potter was also included as a member of the Sioux Falls Skyforce.
The other three players to earn G-League All-Rookie Team recognition included Charles Bassey, Carlik Jones and Mac McClung.

Garza nearly averaged a double-double in 16 games played for the Cruise this past season. He averaged 20.6 points, 9.5 rebounds, 1.3 assists and 1.1 blocks per game. He registered a double-double in more than half his G-League appearances, posting 9.
When Garza did suit up for the Detroit Pistons, he averaged 5.8 points and 3.1 rebounds. He appeared in 32 games and made 5 starts as a rookie.
Potter also nearly averaged a double-double in the G-League as a rookie, scoring 17.2 points and grabbing 9.8 rebounds per contest with the Skyforce. He appeared in 31 games and recorded 13 double-doubles.
In 3 games with the Pistons, Potter averaged 4 points and 3 rebounds.
