The Knights have once again made their case to the College Football Playoff Committee.

UCF was left out of the Playoff last season after going undefeated. However, after knocking off Auburn in the Peach Bowl, the Knights proclaimed themselves 2017 National Champions.

It remains to be seen if UCF will make the Playoff this season, but it appears doubtful. The Knights were ranked No. 8 entering championship weekend and struggled early on against Memphis.

Fortunately for UCF, QB Darriel Mack Jr. led a remarkable second half comeback as the Knights outscored the Tigers 35-3 after halftime. Mack accumulated six total touchdowns filling in for injured starter McKenzie Milton. The final score was 56-41.

UCF Football understandably tweeted out the accomplishment after the final whistle:

Should the Knights make the final four? That is the question that remains as UCF completed a second straight undefeated season, winning 25 consecutive games in the process.
