When two teams who have never met on the football field before come together, motivational factors are typically not a factor. But then when you’re talking about LSU and head coach Ed Orgeron, you never know what’s going to happen.

When UCLA welcomed (for lack of a better term) the Tigers to the Rose Bowl on Saturday a Bruins fan was spouting some trash talk to Coach O before the game while the Tigers were heading out of the tunnel, and he replied with a line that what would become sufficient to create some buzz.

“Bring your ass on,” said Orgeron. “Bring your ass on in your sissy blue shirt!”

Naturally, anyone who has watched Coach O and the Tigers wasn’t at all surprised by the retort, but at the end of the day when LSU left the Rose Bowl turf with a 38-27 loss, the trash talk became a mantra — and the Bruins have taken it to task.

If the recent activity on the UCLA Football Twitter feed is any indication, it won’t be going away any time soon.
