UCLA, USC formally apply to join B1G, vote expected ‘in next 24 hours,’ per report

The B1G could soon add its 15th and 16th members.
USC and UCLA have officially applied to join the B1G, according to college football insider Brett McMurphy.
USC & UCLA has formally applied to join Big Ten, sources told @ActionNetworkHQ. Big Ten expected to vote to add both schools in next 24 hours, source said. Earliest they would begin play in Big Ten would be 2024, sources said

And according to The Athletic’s Nicole Auerbach, that vote could be happening sooner rather than later. The Chancellors and Presidents of the B1G are reportedly convening at 6 p.m. ET to officially vote on admittance.
The Big Ten chancellors and presidents have a meeting scheduled for 6pm ET tonight to vote on the addition of USC & UCLA, sources told @TheAthletic.

Obviously, the college football landscape has changed drastically over the past few months. There isn’t much reason to think this realignment is going to stop any time soon.
Jon Wilner of PAC-12 Hotline, who originally broke the news earlier Thursday, heard from a source that agrees.
