Ugly hit in MACtion provided one of the clearest targeting penalties you'll ever see
Toledo DE Terrance Taylor just delivered one of the ugliest hits you’ll see this season.
Not only was Taylor’s hit ugly, but it is hands-down one of the worst and clearest forms of targeting you will ever see. It came during Wednesday’s game against Northern Illinois.
As you can see in the video, NIU QB Ross Bowers was already on his knees before Taylor launched himself from behind. There’s no way the officials would miss this one:

As the announcers say, Taylor launched into Bowers, hit him in the head and also used the crown of his helmet — three of the biggest factors in the targeting penalty.
Thankfully, Bowers does not appear to be seriously injured. He even returned to action in the fourth quarter.
