Updated Heisman odds feature 4 B1G stars in top 10
The race for the Heisman trophy is in full swing, and a handful of B1G stars will look to make a push for the prestigious award.
There are plenty of standouts following the action of Week 3, but perhaps no player in the country has been as impressive as Alabama QB Tua Tagovailoa. The sophomore signal caller has been electric since beating out Jalen Hurts for the starting job. Tagovailoa didn’t need much time to do damage against Ole Miss, and he still finished with 191 yards and 2 TDs in the 62-7 win.
Tagovailoa’s impressive stretch has him on top with the best odds to win the Heisman, according to Bovada. Tagovailoa is listed at 3/2 odds to win the Heisman with West Virginia QB Will Grier (13/2) and Ohio State QB Dwayne Haskins (7/1) rounding out the top three.
Wisconsin’s Jonathan Taylor is still fifth at 10/1, but his odds took a slight hit following the loss to BYU. Penn State QB Trace McSorley comes in right behind Taylor at sixth with 16/1 odds.
One of the biggest leaps following Week 3 belongs to Ohio State RB J.K. Dobbins. Dobbins’ odds went from 50/1 to 20/1 following the win over TCU, and that number puts him seventh on the list. He rushed for 121 yards on 18 carries in the 40-28 win over the Horned Frogs.
